Getting to Žrnovo, Korcula Island

Žrnovo is situated 3 km from Korcula town and has good connections with the town by regular bus service. The village can be reached from Korcula towns ports by very good local buses or taxis. Uber is still not operating around here.

Here is how to get to Žrnovo from nearby places:

  • Getting from Korcula Town to Žrnovo – The village can be reached from the town of Korcula or any other place on the island of Korcula by local buses or by taxi. Well-established public transport buses depart Korcula Town daily from 6 am to 7:40 pm. Travelling time is 10 minutes. The ticket cost is 18 to 50 Kuna. (see timetable)
  • From Vela Luka to Žrnovo – The village can be reached from Vela Luka by local buses or by taxi. Buses depart Vela Luka to Žrnovo daily from 5:30 am to 7:20 pm. Travelling time is 40 Minutes. The ticket cost is 50 Kuna one way.
  • From Dubrovnik to Žrnovo –  If you are a foot passenger there are two ways you can reach Žrnovo from Dubrovnik – either directly by ferry to Korcula Town and then bus or taxi to the village or direct bus from Dubrovnik to Žrnovo. If you arrive by car, drive from Dubrovnik along the coast to Peljesac and further to Orebic. From there take a ferry to Dominče and drive to the village. The ferry crossing is 15 minutes.   • From Mljet to Žrnovo – If you are a foot passenger you can reach Žrnovo from Mljet Island – either take a ferry to Korcula Town (see above photo) and then bus or taxi to Žrnovo.
    If you are coming by car, cross by ferry to the mainland (Sobra-Prapratno) and drive along the coast via Orebic and take a ferry from there to the Island (Dominče ferry port).
  • From Hvar to Žrnovo – If you are a foot passenger you can reach Žrnovo from Hvar Island either crossing by ferry to Korcula Town or Vela Luka. From there take a bus or taxi to the village.
    If you are coming by car cross by car ferry from Sucuraj on Hvar Island to the mainland (Drvenik) and drive along the coast via Neum, Ploce, Trpanj and Orebic on Peljesac and take a ferry from there to the Island (Korcula / Dominče port).
  • From Brač to Žrnovo – From May to October daily foot passengers ferry crossing, or if are you driving a ferry crossing from Sumartin on Brač Island to Makarska and drive along the coast via Ploce, Trpanj and Orebic.
  • From Split to Zrnovo – There is a daily fast ferry from Split to Korcula town and from there, take 10 minutes bus to the village (detailed info)

Arriving by car:

  • Drive to Ploče, take a ferry to Trpanj, drive to Orebić, take a ferry to Korcula (Dominče) or drive around via Peljesac bridge (due to open in July 2022) and Pelješac peninsula all the way to Orebić, then take a ferry to Korcula island (Dominče)
    Dominče is 2.5 km away from the village.

Arriving by bus:

  • There is a daily bus connection from Zagreb via Zadar, Split, Makarska to Korcula island and Zrnovo.

Arriving By ferry:

  • There is a daily ferry connection all year round with Split via Hvar to Vela Luka and Korčula town port.
  • May to October, daily ferry connection with Split, Makarska, Brac, Hvar, Mljet and Dubrovnik.
